The New Adventures of Darcy Malone

Ben Nelson and his wife Marjorie are writers who suffered the tragedy of losing their
four year old daughter, Madeline, to a drunk driver. They ease the pain by resurrecting
her as a fictional character where they can watch her grow up and experience the
moments of joy in her life that were lost by this terrible event. Ben suggests to Marjorie
that his prior fictional character, Darcy Malone, adopt her and raise her in the story.

In this new story Ben and Marjorie write, Darcy Malone has worked hard for twenty five
years to build a reputation for being aa fearless and determined private detective.
Pursuing her career has left her little time to start a family. She fills that hole in her life
by adopting a five year old orphan named Maddie. The two of them become a team and
help people by solving their mysteries.

When a case brings Darcy to a life or death confrontation, she worries about leaving
Maddie an orphan a second time, casing her to rethink her profession. Of course,
Maddie is a feisty and precocious child also has a talent for solving mysteries. As
Maddie and Darcy work at solving mysteries filled with danger and intrigue together,
they find the answers that people are seeking and help them change their lives for the
better.
